You Are A Treasure!

This morning my wife shared a devotion with me that she read, and I want to share it with you…

“A woman should be so engaged with Christ that she looses herself in knowing the Lord. When this happens, a man seeks the Holy Spirit in the woman first in order to learn more about her. This brings favor from The Lord.”

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and receives favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22 (NLT)

1. a quantity of precious metals, gems, or other valuable objects.

verb: treasure;
1. keep carefully (a valuable or valued item).

I touched on this briefly in Assigning Value, but it is important enough to be repeated…
As you see from the above definition, a treasure is something of great value that is kept carefully…
Right now I am typing this post on an iPad. This device is of great value to me and as such I take measures to insure that it is protected.

Women, you are far more valuable than this iPad and deserve to be treated as such. However, you will be treated according to the value that you place upon yourself. God has designated you as a treasure! He has woven favor into the fabric of your being, so much so that the man who marries you will be an instant beneficiary of God’s favor!

Wives: Your husbands receive the favor of God through their union with you! Be the treasure God intended you to be! Align yourself with Christ in such a way that you become a conduit of favor!

Single ladies: Your breast, thighs, and butt should not be the first thing that a man pursues…he should see ‘wrapping paper’ which is the covering of the Holy Spirit and be drawn to the brilliance that it displays. As they explore, and accept the Spirit in you, God slowly peels away the wrapping to reveal the treasure that has been cocooned and transformed.

You Are A Treasure! Accept, and walk in that knowledge today!
